Perfectionism is like a double-edged sword. It can drive you towards excellence, but it can also lead to psychological stress, burnout, and dissatisfaction. Learning to manage perfectionism is an essential skill for a healthier mindset and a more balanced life.

This is the most important and first step: Recognize perfectionism and acknowledge when you're being overly critical of yourself. Then focus on understanding the root, setting realistic goals, accepting imperfections, and practicing self-compassion.

💊 How To Take Your Dose:

Monitor your self-talk throughout the week, and each time you catch yourself being overly critical, consciously replace it with self-compassionate language.

Chronic conditions require consistent care and a proactive approach to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It's crucial to understand how to manage these conditions effectively to ensure optimum health.

Stay Informed and understand the specifics of your condition, do regular check-ups, pursue a healthy lifestyle, take prescribed medication as needed while understanding their purpose, and monitor your symptoms closely while communicating any changes to your healthcare provider.

💊 How To Take Your Dose:

Include 30 minutes of moderate physical activity in your daily routine. Keep a health journal to track your symptoms, diet, and exercise patterns, reviewing it weekly to understand how your lifestyle impacts your health.

Navigating the world of insurance can be daunting, but understanding its importance and knowing how to choose the right policies can safeguard your financial health.

Understand different types of insurance, evaluate your needs, compare policies, understand the fine print, and consider independent agents.

💊 How To Take Your Dose:

Start by reviewing your current financial situation and insurance needs. Set a goal to research and compare at least three insurance policies by the end of the month, focusing on their coverage, exclusions, premiums, and deductibles.

Codependency can be a roadblock to healthy, fulfilling relationships. It's vital to understand and manage it to cultivate positive, secure attachments, and interpersonal connections.

Recognize the signs, understand the causes, trauma responses, and past experiences that trigger you, establish boundaries, prioritize self-care, and seek support to get proper guidance.

💊 How To Take Your Dose:

Start by identifying one area in your relationship where you feel you may be codependent. Set a goal to establish a new boundary in this area by the end of the month. Remember, it's important to communicate your needs clearly and assertively to your partner, allowing for open discussion.

Nicodemus Christopher’s Story on How He’s Learned How to Bring Order to Chaos in His Life and the Life of Others.

Since I can remember, I’ve always had a passion for helping athletes enhance their performance while also providing the necessary resources for them to become the best versions of themselves. Athletes go through so much day in and out, and there are a lot of factors they have to process, whether it’s the lights being shut off back at home for financial reasons, relationship troubles, etc. Regardless of the situation I’ve made it my life’s mission to walk alongside them and help them find peace and well-being in the midst of the chaos.

I’ve seen firsthand in my life and in the lives of those that I’ve worked with, the negative effects of chaos. For me, journaling has been something that brought me more structure amid the chaos. I started journaling, and since reaping the benefits, it’s been a non-negotiable habit in my life. As an introvert, I tend to hold things in and just move on. Journaling has been my release valve, my escape, my therapy and much more. I have to admit, when I started journaling, I held back and did not pour 100% of my thoughts into it or share my honest feelings. Over time, I became more introspective, practiced self-examination and did the necessary work to address the lingering impact of traumatic events that were unresolved and repressed.

I’ve used journaling as a way to write my vision and make it plain, track progress, identify unique abilities or unique frustrations and so much more. It remains a medium that helps bring order to my life. It is from the experiences captured in my journaling’s that I draw on to do more for others. The unique frustrations that I’ve faced play a huge role in why I’ve dedicated my life to helping other people gain the control necessary to find peace and attain well-being. I’m providing for others what I had hoped someone would’ve provided for me.

Little did I know that my love for journaling would lead me to publish a book titled Out of Order: Unleashing the Power of Journaling to Draw You Out of Chaos and Into Fulfillment. I never knew publishing a book would be a vehicle for sharing my gift. If I’m being honest, this was a scary process but I frequently reminded myself that my gift is my service to the world and I had to share it. Full transparency, as a 36 year-old Black man with dreads, I don’t know how I will be perceived, and there’s this thought that people will judge me and not pick up the book for the wrong reasons. In my daily life I function behind the scenes, but doing what makes me necessary on this planet pushed me to conquer the fear or anxiety that came with doing something out of the norm and publishing this guided journal.

Whether through my job as a performance coach or through my writing, I know I have been placed here to help people become the best versions of themselves. I will spend every day doing that and obsessing over how to best do it. I have come to the realization that If I don’t do the work that I was placed here uniquely to do then I will be robbing the world and myself.
