Dr. Kristen Casey’s Path to Impact: A Story of Personal Growth and Professional Transformation

“I transitioned from an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to a psychologist due to my desire to make a deeper, more lasting impact. My love for introspection and providing a space for others to express themselves led me to this field. As a therapist, I've experienced both sides of the therapeutic relationship, which has enhanced my empathy for my clients.

My specialization in insomnia, anxiety, depression, trauma, and sexuality concerns is rooted in personal and professional experiences. I struggled with insomnia due to my irregular shifts as an EMT. Leading a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) group transformed my perspective on this issue. I've also sought therapy to manage anxiety and depression, which has improved my coping abilities.

As a bisexual woman/person/human, I've struggled understanding and celebrating my sexuality. This personal journey and my professional training have made me an empathetic supporter of the LGBTQIA+ population in my private practice.

My clients have taught me invaluable life lessons, changing my perspective on life and inspiring me to live more mindfully. To maintain my own well-being, I've learned to set boundaries, take time off, and indulge in rejuvenating activities.

In addition to my practice, I use social media to spread mental health awareness in humorous, relatable ways. I strive to uphold high ethical standards and provide accurate information, reminding viewers that online resources are not a replacement for therapy.

My journey as Dr. Kristen Casey, the psychologist, continues to evolve. As a therapist, I offer a safe space for clients to understand their minds and challenge their inner critics. I am excited about the future and the positive impact I can make on others' lives.”

Dr. Kristen Casey, Licensed Clinical Psychologist
